Theme: REMOVE THAT GARMENT
Text: Mark 10:50-51
50. “And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.”

Not all who eager to see Him are sincere to submit wholeheartedly to Him. Upon Jesus’ gracious beckoning, the blind Bartimaeus rose immediately, loose his garment and cast away everything that might be in danger of throwing him down or might any way hinder him in coming to Christ Jesus or retard his motion. Though blind but his inner spiritual eyes opened to see his garment – what could have been a strange garment hindering your change, or yet to transformed life; it must be revealed to you and has to be removed, that a new man may be revealed.
Coming to Jesus requires complete obedience, humbleness, submission and self-will, however, our garment or other things hindering our steps towards His presence should be totally cast away. Anybody coming to Jesus must pull off that garment of self sufficiency, strip off the garment of lies, conceit, pride, disobedience, self confidence, unfaithfulness, self-righteousness, and self-pity. They must free themselves from every weight and the sin that, like long garments, does most easily beset us – Heb.12:1. We must yield up all those things that we find difficult to let go, until we let go our blindness, we may not receive the true light from Christ Jesus. What garment is on our body? Let’s think about it
Prayer Capsules
1. Lord, strip my garment of inordinate lifestyle.
2. Lord, help me to break every barrier denying my access into your presence.
3. Lord, help me pull off every garment slowing down my spiritual growth.
4. Lord, take me from spiritual blindness to holy sightedness in Jesus name
