9. “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven: May your holy name be honored; ….11. Give us today the food we need.” [GNB]

God want us to make request – like placing order for our daily needs; our prayers is our orders requisition paper. It is expected to be a daily or a constant request! Prayer explains our reliance on God. When we pray “Give us today our daily bread” we are acknowledging God as our sustainer and provider. It could be wrong to think that you can do things without God. To those who believe in God – Jehovah is their helper and provider; He grants blessings on their works and endeavors.
We must trust God daily and pray to Him to provide what we need and strengthen us for wealth, though through our works (Deut. 8:18; & 28:8). Relying on God gives us privilege to access his throne room of grace. Our daily requests helps us to gain favour, grace and mercy from God and man. By it we are able to build a covering, a stronghold and spiritual power-base to overrun our foes and the kingdom of darkness! Spirit-filled prayers are like missiles that is launched to destroy enemy’s work. Prayer, faith and trust in God is the spiritual backing to secure our living
