[8] “O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.”

“Find out for yourself how good the Lord is. Happy are those who find safety with him.”

God allows us to regularly fellowship with him in love, and this permits us to taste His aroma of goodness and mercy. “Taste and see God”. Don’t just check out for God’s profiles! Instead, it is a warm offer to come to Him and see how pleasant God is. “Try this; I know you’ll like it.” To taste, literarily means, “having a little amount of experience with something that gives a sense of its quality as a whole”. God wants our closeness. “Come unto me!”
When you come to Him, you will understand Him. When we take that fisrt step of obedience in following God, we cannot help discovering and acknowledging that He is good and kind. In the beginning of our Christian life and relationship with God, our senses and knowledge of God is partial and not full. We must relate with God closely before relishing His good works and affections. As we follow and trust God daily, we would know and experience how good He is. “Blessed and happy, fortunate and to be envied” are those who believe in God and walk in His ways
